CODE OF CONDUCT

Last updated on June 7, 2023

This Code of Conduct sets forth the type of conduct and decorum expected of all participants of the xLog community. The team is dedicated to building an ecosystem that empowers authors and readers to connect with one another, collaborate, and participate in a new, natively-digital content economy. But they cannot do it without your help.

In the interest of keeping this community an open environment and in ensuring the economic growth of the Crossbell marketplace, they’ve put together these Code of Conduct to help foster a platform that can support all of us as creators, readers, and friends. Your use of the Crossbell platform is strictly subject to these Code of Conduct and the official Crossbell Terms of Service found here.

They take enforcement seriously and prohibit anything that goes against their rules, but they are not arbitrators of petty online disputes or disagreements. If you suspect that user(s) may be engaging in serious behavior that negatively impacts the integrity of their marketplace, please contact them at [email protected].

We’re asking you to:

  1. Respect Other Authors.

A strong community is built on respect, so please keep all conversations civil and constructive. Crossbell is a marketplace for authentic and original digital content. Our community members are the new tastemakers of the digital content future, so it is completely fine (and encouraged!) to comment on or criticize authors or articles for the purpose of discussion. However, you should never publicly disparage or target a specific author with the intention of interfering with their ability to publish works, promote their writing, or receive a fair compensation for a particular transaction.

  1. No Harassment or Hate Speech.

Do not harass, bully, impersonate, or intimidate any authors or other community members in the Crossbell community. Crossbell has a zero-tolerance policy towards attacking or harassing a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity. We will remove people who persistently harass or use hate speech against authors or other community members.

  1. Resolve Your Own Personal Disputes.

We encourage authors to resolve their own personal disputes with other community members in a respectful, honest, and well-intentioned manner. In the interest of preserving an open, unbiased, and transparent community, our team will not involve itself or weigh in on petty personal disputes, Twitter wars, or debates about articles or cryptocurrency.

  1. Not Give Power to Hate.

This should go without saying, but do not promote, support, or glorify hateful or extremist ideologies, such as white supremacist or terrorist groups. Do not use hate speech or symbols, like swastikas, the white power hand sign, racial slurs, or any other hateful factional or derisive signaling of any kind.

  1. Respect Privacy.

Respect other people’s privacy and protect your own. Do not publicly share private or personally identifying information. This includes, but is not limited to, personal contact details, contact addresses, and private correspondence, including private correspondence between you and the our team.

  1. Protect Your Keys.

Always protect your Ethereum private key and back it up somewhere offline. Our team members will never ask you for your private keys or any other personal info. If anyone asks you to send ETH or tokens, it's most likely a scam. Be smart and stay safe.

  1. Respect the Authors.
