Folo is a cross-platform news and feed reader with rapidly growing data volumes. Our core PostgreSQL cluster has surpassed 3 TB, with individual tables containing over 300 million records. To support our fast-paced business expansion, we are looking for an App/DB Ops Engineer to help ensure system stability, scalability, and top-tier performance.

Your Role:

• Platform & CI/CD
  • Maintain Kubernetes clusters and Argo CD pipelines to ensure zero-downtime deployments
  • Write and optimize Helm Charts and Terraform templates to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Monitor, alert, and manage capacity using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager
• Stability & Cost Optimization
  • Define SLOs/SLAs and capacity models; conduct regular capacity forecasting and cost optimization
  • Participate in high-priority incident response (SRE on-call) and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvements
• Database Ops
  • Plan capacity, automate backups, handle disaster recovery, and perform version upgrades for PostgreSQL clusters
  • Deploy, scale, and tune performance for vector databases such as PGVector, Milvus, or Weaviate
  • Analyze slow queries, optimize partitioning/sharding/indexing to support high-concurrency read/write workloads

We want you to:

• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with PostgreSQL internals and performance tuning; familiar with WAL, partitioned tables, and logical replication
• Production-level experience operating at least one vector database
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Argo CD, and common DevOps/SRE toolchains
• Active user of Folo or RSSHub, with an understanding of the RSS and content aggregation ecosystem (please include your Folo profile link)
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
